By volunteering with GTSC, you will assist us in achieving the Greencastle Tropical Study Center mission, while experiencing the warmth and friendliness of the Jamaican countryside. Volunteer opportunities can vary based on interest, but range from assisting in the organic vegetable plot to collecting water samples for ongoing water quality research.
In the local village, the Robins Bay Basic School is always interested in having volunteers read books to or teach the 3 to 5 year old classes, and the primary school appreciates reading and math tutors. A variety of opportunities can be arranged based on skills, interest and time available. Volunteering is a great way to get out into the community, meet people and see the real Jamaica. |
