Future Development The owner’s vision for Green Castle Estate is to further develop the property with low-density hotel and residential components that offer tourists and homeowners an authentic and sustainable opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty and local culture of Green Castle Estate and its surrounding communities. Amenities of the development will include an eco-resort, spa, restaurant, and expanded marine facilities, with a focus on health and wellness and the culinary connection to the land itself. Various development models are under consideration but all incorporate a strategic partnership with the Greencastle Tropical Study Center and entrepreneurial partners to create a synergistic balance between the for-profit and not-for-profit stakeholders, with the end goal of long-term land use that is financially, environmentally and socially sustainable. By carrying out its mission, GTSC enhances the development project by providing the developers with the opportunity to grant stewardship of land and use of facilities to a registered, independent, not-for-profit organization with educational, community development and conservation charters.
